I absolutely love doing collaborations! Recently, I had the unique opportunity to team up with Price Concrete Studio to create a custom studio table and kitchen island for 1010 on Orange. Each item is made of (that’s right, you guessed it!) pure concrete. *insert heart eyes*. They took our vision and brought it to life!
The Studio Table
It all started with a rendering, with the table being thirteen feet long and comprised of four separate pieces. Though separate, the four pieces were ultimately fashioned into a single, over-sized studio table. It sounds complicated (and it was) but the team at Price came up with a brilliant plan to make it happen!
Once laying down the framework, the guys carefully sprayed on a thin layer of concrete. During the process, I came by to check in and they encouraged me add my own personal touch to the table! I love that I was able to do that because it certainly creates a personal connection for me with this piece.

The Kitchen Island
In addition to the concrete studio table project, we also collaborated to create a custom island for our working kitchen at 1010 on Orange. The team at Price Concrete Studio did a fantastic job and worked very hard to craft this beautiful piece for us.
Above, you can see where a drawer was installed into the island. We love that this drawer is not immediately visible and is rather large. Plus, who doesn’t love extra storage?
Voila! The island fits perfectly in our working kitchen at 1010 on Orange! It looks as if it has always been there, doesn’t it? We absolutely love it for entertaining during events or for simply having coffee with the team.
