Modern Lakeside: The Kitchen

A Look Inside at The Kitchen in our #modernlakeside Project

At the heart of this project is a family’s love for entertaining and hosting. Therefore, creating a stunning gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances was in order! We wanted this kitchen to be a place where guests would naturally gravitate toward and feel right at home.

Gather ’round

At the center of the kitchen is an impressive island with steel-capped feet. To illuminate the island, two medium scale contemporary pendents in arctic white with frosted glass diffusers are suspended overhead.

Placed neatly at the island are three bowed-back bar stools with leather seats for sitting comfortably during conversation over snack time or while meal prepping.

Stunning Materials

From the counters to the ceiling are white brick-set, hand applied glaze tile that complement the soft gray color of the cabinetry. The Honey Bronze hardware from Ashley Norton create a charming contrast to the kitchen’s serene, tonal palette.For the counter tops, we selected quartzite with a leathered finish for its beauty, strength and overall durability. The stainless steel, deep-set workstation sink is a meal prepping asset with dual faucets and an integrated ledge for the cutting board accessory.

Integrated Appliances

The large, expansive refrigerator is hardly noticeable as it’s integrated into the style of the cabinetry. In between the refrigerator and the built-in coffee machine stands a nook with a single shelf for all of your coffee crafting needs. Step inside the pantry and you’ll feel as if you’ve wondered into Belle’s library; equipped with a rolling ladder to grab those hard-to-reach items.
