Designing The Rec Room

We designed The Rec Room to be a space that is accommodating for fun activities and conversation. To achieve this, we paired unique details with rich textures to generate warmth.

Inside the rec room is a wet bar that’s perfect for hosting! It’s a hardworking wet bar with a dishwasher, prep sink, refrigerator drawers, and an ice maker.

Don’t sleep on the wet bar backsplash tile! It makes a statement all on its own, producing an optical illusion. I love how the cylinder-shaped glass pendants and backsplash tile add a sense of urban glam to the fumed hue of the cabinetry.

In the sitting area, layered together are textured fabrics to emulate a sense of sophisticated leisure. The sofa sectional provides optimal seating for a group of friends while watching a game on the TV. A solid hard-wood oblong coffee table accommodates a spread of snacks and drinks as well as a game of Mancala (a classic!).

Game Time

For more competitive games, head over to the ping pong table! The ping pong table truly sets this space apart from the rest of the home, making it a definitive gathering and entertainment area.

After a game of ping pong, taking a dip in the pool is the next fun activity on the list! The rec room completely opens up with sliding doors adjacent to the poolside. It’s nothing but fun times ahead for the #glamfarm!
